Leaving behind the country, families and friends. It is migrant psyche that engages in a lifelong  search for remnants of past.We experience inner conflicts every time we compare our habitual practices, norms and values (in other words our original culture) with those of the new country and with that we encounter a pain of loss.

The extended family we configure in the foreign land helps us in many aspects. In our celebration of small and big success in this new life we begin yet another journey and build on relationships.

We spend days, which quickly folds in month and before we know we have spent years, so much so that the new place is not so new anymore, feels more like home.

In the pursuit of shaping our future we seek increased interaction and integration. Our association is a socio-cultural forum which aims to embrace the various migrant Bengalis together.

The Bengali Puja & Cultural Society of Victoria formed as a non-profitable, cultural & charitable organization, run by the Bengali Community in Victoria.

Organizing various events this committee endeavors to capture Bengali cultural heritage and religious events.

In its service for the society it provides a platform for social networking, promotes involvement of youth in various events, and encourages interaction with other organizations to build the bigger community.

You are welcome to be a part of our society and would expect your valuable comments and feedbacks in near future to promote our site.

Thank you.
